Kristin Fischer is set to join CNN as its Space and Defense Correspondent in July 2021. In her position as the Space and Defence Correspondent at CNN, she's responsible to cover everything ranging from NASA and its newly created Space Force up until commercial space-related companies and the rise and development in space travel. Kristin's parents are each NASA astronauts. Kristin spent her childhood in space, and she has since worked as a White House reporter for FOX News reporting on the both the Biden and Trump administrations regarding space-related issues. During that time, she was also a reporter covering impeachment proceedings for the president and the 2020 presidential election as well as efforts of two administrations to stop the spread of the Coronavirus. In addition, she traveled with President Trump and Vice President Biden often. It included a secret trip to Afghanistan. Kristin has worked in the local news markets of Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, as well as Washington, D.C. for more than a decade prior to being hired by the network. She won an Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. as the CBS station's reporter who was a one-man band. Kristin utilized her knowledge behind the lens to start Field Mouse Films.
